A Statement from our Chairman, Tom Morton

Joining techUK heralds an important new chapter for Archangel marked out by openness, collaboration, and the courage to do things differently.

For almost two decades, Archangel — and before it, Communicare247 — has been committed to a simple principle: that technology in care must exist to serve people, not systems.

That belief hasn’t changed but the landscape around us has.

The next great leap will come from shared learning, shared data, and shared responsibility and that is why Archangel has decided to join techUK.

It’s a community built on collaboration with health, housing, and technology leaders working together with one goal: better outcomes for citizens.

As a veteran, I was taught that discipline and duty are inseparable and that true service demands both integrity and courage. Those lessons stay with me. They guide how we build our systems, how we work with partners, and how we hold ourselves accountable to those who depend on us.

That’s why Archangel has chosen to ground its operations in international ISO standards, global frameworks that demand transparency, traceability, and continuous improvement. They don’t belong to any one organisation. They belong to everyone.

We are joining this community to contribute, to listen, and to lead where it matters in the protection of lives, the support of frontline services and trust in technology.

Those words have always resonated with me. They remind us that leadership isn’t about comfort, it’s about conviction. Joining the techUK community reflects that conviction and we will keep striving, keep improving, and keep serving the people who depend on us.
